T’Edra, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Being the grand-daughter of the late Emmett Lee King, my grandfather taught my sister and me the importance of continuously educating yourself. There was a moment where I forgot all those lessons and lost my way. At that moment, I experienced brokenness, heartache, depression, and low self-esteem.
I made it up in my mind that I was not going to mask anything in my life. I implemented systems in my life that helps me takes off my mask.
I use to think that love was supposed to take my breath away until I was there hanging like some strange fruit and honey that is not love that's a lynching.
So I end the blog with this, I can only be true to me because no one can share my story like me. I know without a doubt God did not bring me this far for me to leave me. I have a story to tell. I have more people to assist in discovering who, what, when, where and why they are created, covered, carried and crowned.
So when I finally SAID YES TO MAINTAINING MY PEACE. I said yes to being strategic in the battles that I fight. I said yes to not losing sight of God as he is my anchor. I said yes to understand the power of my silence. I said yes to listening to what people are saying but paying attention to their body language.
We are all put on this Earth to fulfill and it is our duty to discover that assignment. We are created to fulfill our assignment, when discover what our purpose is we need to take the time to cultivate the gifts

It was hurtful to know that I had to walk down the street to imagine how life was like during that time. Black Wall Street does not exist today. It was attacked, looted and burned to the ground in 1921.
This is a church who walks it and talks it bold and unapologetically. The church and the teachings have transformed my life. They provide crowning moments to help me be a better daughter, sister, girlfriend, worker, author, blogger, leader, and Kingsskid overall.
The process of being created, covered, carried and crowned is to build and create a strong foundation. IT TAKES TIME, grit and agility.

When God is pouring into us, we are to pour into others and stay near to him so we are never operating on an empty cup but from a cup that is flavorful and a cup that is representatives of God and his plan for our lives.
A few years ago someone advised me to take some time to reflect at the end of year to see how far I have progressed or if I progressed at all, and if I was in the same position at the end of the year that I was in at the beginning of the year- it may be safe to say that I did not make any progress throughout the year.
With an increase of marketing, analytics, and trends, companies are now able to be proactive in the way that they promote Christmas in regards to decorations, gifts and endless sales it makes it easy to forget the Christ in Christmas. It becomes easier to forget the need for self - reflection, family, food, and fun.
2017 taught me that it is possible to maintain peace so I can be the best version of me
