This year has been hard and holy.
When it began, I wanted to take the test once, learn the lesson, and pass it the first time. But this year stretched me in ways I couldn’t have anticipated. The highs were high, and the lows were low. I didn’t recognize the depth of my capacity until the moment required me to draw from it—and even then, I needed God’s grace to carry what was in my hands.
Somehow, through it all, this year was still sweet. Sweet in the ways God met me. Sweet in the people who loved me. Sweet in the moments of joy, clarity, and rest tucked between the hard places.Maybe your year has held some of that same tension. Give yourself room to acknowledge both what stretched you and what sustained you. You don’t have to rush past the hard to recognize the holy.
Y’all know around this time each year, we take a pause to rest, recover, and spend time with family and friends. We also make room to sit with the Lord, reflect on what He has done, and listen for what He wants to reveal for the year ahead.
While the blogs won’t be coming to your inbox during this break, you can stay connected with us in the Kingdom Career Collective Telegram Chat.
As you make room for your own reflection, I encourage you to bring it all to God—the gratitude, the questions, the weariness, and the hope for what’s next.
If you’re looking for a way to go deeper in those conversations with Him, The CROWNED Life Prayer Journal offers space to write, pray, and reflect as you spend time in His presence.
Together, we have broken barriers and built bridges by being CROWNED—embracing who God created us to be without competing, comparing, or compromising our calling. As we close this year, may we carry those lessons forward with grateful hearts, acknowledge what broke our hearts, celebrate what renewed our strength, and remain confident in the One who continues to lead us.
