The CROWN Switcher

This CROWNED Life journey comes with many twists and turns. Typically around this time of the year, a shift happens for me spiritually, personally, and professionally. I will be dropping the jewels on how God switched up my crown

Spiritually- Prayer is no longer a nice-to-do thing anymore; it's essential to be my best self. If I don't give my time to God when I wake up, my day becomes tough to manage. It is not just prayer; it's being in God's word and taking the time to see how I can apply it to my life. It's the process of reading, studying, and actively using God's word in my life.

Personally

  • Mrs. Knox Got Locs- I finally started the journey of locking my hair. This has been in the works for a while. I am excited to be doing something with my hair. Later on, I will share how I knew it was time to do something different with my crown.

  • For some time, I have been incorporating mindful breathing throughout my day, which allows for more focus, better overall brain health, and a decrease in multi-tasking (which we all know is ineffective). This practice also helps take every thought captive.

Professionally

  • The Brain Health Benefit, a mindful breathing exercise, was first presented through my place of purpose.'

  • I am gaining more opportunities to learn, grow and train, which is a passion and dream I had when I was seeking to transition from a job to a place of purpose.

  • The first place that allowed me to train called me back again this year. I'm grateful. My days are much longer and even more fulfilled, so taking those mental breaks is even more critical for my overall health.
