The Intersection Marriage and Business

The journey of #TieTheKnox has publically begun, and I couldn't be more excited to share this blog with you all. As I was preparing for the wedding day, and marriage while still planning content for Kingsskid, I realized that there is an intersection of marriage and business.

Partnership: Your marriage and your business require you to be a partner. You don't just become one in a marriage; you evolve into one, which requires a commitment to the short and long-term growth and development of the relationship and self. In business, partnerships are vital to the company's growth and development; in 2020, Kingsskid grew exponentially because of individual associations.

Resilience -The capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. In marriage and business, you will face trials and tribulations that you do not expect. The way you work to overcome those trials and tribulations can either make your partnership stronger or weaken them.

Accountability: In marriage, you will have individuals holding you accountable for us. It is our marriage counselors and friends; however, in Kingsskid, I have accountability too. Both require me to show up and execute the things I vowed to do

Yoked - 2 Corinthians 6:14 14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? All partnerships are not equally yoked, and I have had my share of bad relationships in my life and by alliances in business.

Execution: This is vital to having a successful and sustainable marriage and business. In both, you must be obedient and execute the assignments that God has called you to fulfill in marriage and business. Both require work and commitment to work and evolve.

Resourceful: Creativity is what makes your marriage and business to the next level. As we were preparing for the wedding, I thought about the intersection of operating the blog and planning the wedding- this is a new level of creativity for me, bridging marriage and business. I am looking forward to seeing where it takes me.

At the core of marriage and business is PRAYER; I pray bold and specific prayers related to my home and business. For it is the foundation of EVERYTHING I do, family is my first business if I can out steward over house well, it will be hard for me to steward over Kingsskid well.
